Portable Water Ozonation Device
It's possible to enjoy the benefits of ozone even at home. From this point of view, one of the most interesting tools is a small portable device for ozonating water, capable of making it completely free of bacteria and polluting substances in a short time.
It is not connected directly to the household plumbing and is powered simply by plugging it into an electrical socket. With special accessories you can not only ozonate drinking water, but also rinse your mouth or wash your nose, eyes, rectum and vagina. It doesn't require any complex or particularly expensive maintenance, apart from replacing the internal filter once a year. The ozonation level can be adjusted from time to time.
Thanks to its high oxidizing capacity, ozone is capable of eradicating any bacterial species, such as pseudomonas aureginosa or legionella, which is resistant even to high doses of chlorine. In just a few minutes, the ozonizer eliminates not only microorganisms, but also heavy metals such as iron and manganese, and other harmful substances such as ammonia, nitrates, nitrites and arsenic. Ozonated water is also excellent for washing and sanitizing fruit and vegetables, for cooking and for preparing hot drinks such as tea and coffee.
Ozonize the entire domestic water system
There are also specific devices for ozonating the entire domestic water system. Through a simple intervention, your trusted plumber can connect them to the domestic water supply without having to resort to structural changes. In this way, all household water will be completely disinfected and enjoy the benefits of ozonation. The ozone level can be specially adjusted and there is no need to replace filters and pads.
These machines make it possible to save significantly on the purchase of bottled water, preserve our household appliances from the wear and tear of highly calcareous water and significantly reduce the use of soaps, detergents, disinfectants and anti-scale products. Not to mention the lower consumption of glass and plastic bottles.
Ozonated water can also be used to water plants and make pets drink. In fact, the benefits of ozone are not limited to humans.
Disinfect the air
As with hospitals, hotel rooms and other types of public places, ozone can also be used to disinfect the air in our homes. In fact, its use guarantees a drastic reduction in the harmful agents present in the air, such as dust, gases, viruses, bacteria, molds and spores. Its high oxidizing power, second only to fluoride in nature, allows it to quickly neutralize the most resistant pathogens. What's more, it leaves no residue and the only side effect is increased oxygenation of the air. So nothing that could harm. All these characteristics make ozone the ideal disinfectant.
Ozone molecules (O3) work through an oxidation process: when they come into contact with bacteria, viruses, fungi and chemical substances, one of the three oxygen atoms detaches from the ozone molecule (an unstable gas) and oxidizes the other molecules with which it interacts. The microorganisms are killed and the substances that cause bad smells are no longer able to do so. After oxidizing other molecules, O3 becomes chemically stable O2.
Because it is heavier than air, ozone penetrates deep into the fibers of fabrics (carpets, rugs, etc.), exactly where microorganisms and smelly substances nest, acting deeply and with great effectiveness. This action also works on furniture, walls, upholstery, floors and ceilings.
Through special devices, ozone can be inserted directly into air conditioning and ventilation systems. Alternatively, fixed or portable ventilated generators can be used. An ideal solution for disinfecting the air in rooms that are not too large. It is also possible to install an ozone generator in a room other than the one to be sanitized. The gas is then taken to the room to be disinfected via some distribution pipes that end in the rooms to be treated and are suitably positioned. This is the so-called gas flooding technique.
